Who we are
This notice explains how Forkful handles personal information when you use tryforkful.com, purchase our ebooks or contact us. For privacy enquiries, email airliefreedom@gmail.com or use our Get in Touch page.
Information we collect
- Contact and order details: your name, email address, billing address, products purchased, order number, currency, amounts paid, payment status and refund information. A phone number may be collected if you provide one.
- Payment information: payment details submitted at checkout are processed by Shopify Payments or the payment service you choose. We receive information needed to manage the transaction, such as payment status, references and limited payment-method details. Do not send your full card number or security code to customer support.
- Download information: the products linked to an order, delivery and access records, and information needed to supply or troubleshoot downloads.
- Support correspondence: messages, order details and attachments you choose to send us. We do not need medical information to answer ebook enquiries.
- Account information: information used to recognise you and show your orders if you choose to use customer accounts or Shop services.
- Device and browsing information: information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, technical events, shopping preferences and interactions with the store.
We receive information directly from you, automatically through the website and its storage technologies, and from the services that process payments, operate the store and deliver your purchases.
How we use information
We use order and contact information to process purchases, send confirmations and download links, provide access to purchased files, handle refunds and answer questions. We use relevant technical and transaction information to operate the website, remember shopping choices, investigate errors, prevent fraud and protect customer accounts and downloads.
We also keep records needed for accounting, legal obligations and resolving disputes. If you choose to receive marketing, we may send the updates you agreed to receive. You can unsubscribe through the message or contact us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential messages about an order or a support request.
Where a legal basis is required, processing may be necessary to perform our contract with you, comply with a legal obligation, pursue legitimate interests such as operating a secure store and resolving enquiries, or act on your consent. We rely on legitimate interests only where your rights do not override them. You may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis used.
Shopify and other recipients
Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify and its service providers process information to provide the storefront, checkout, payment processing, customer-account functions and related services. Shopify's Digital Products service uses order and email details to deliver the files you buy. Support messages sent to our Gmail address are processed by Google; see Google's Privacy Policy.
When you choose an accelerated checkout, wallet or another payment service, that provider also handles information under its own terms and privacy notice. We may share relevant information with professional advisers or authorities where needed for accounting, a legal obligation, a valid legal request, fraud prevention or a dispute.
Shopify may also process information for its own purposes, including operating and improving its services and, depending on the services and choices involved, personalisation and advertising. Where Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled, Shopify uses information from interactions with this store together with information from other merchants and Shopify to provide enhanced services, including personalisation, performance improvements and advertising. Shopify is responsible for responding to requests about its own processing. Read Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy and use its privacy portal for Shopify-specific rights and choices. This is separate from contacting Forkful about our own handling of your information.
Meta advertising and measurement
Our Shopify store uses Meta's advertising integration, including the Meta pixel and Conversions API. These tools help measure visits and purchases, understand advertising performance, and show or improve relevant advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Information shared can include pages and products viewed, cart and checkout events, order values, browser and device information, IP addresses and online identifiers. Depending on the interaction and the integration's data-sharing settings, contact details such as a name, email address, phone number or location may also be used to match activity to a Meta account.
Some conversion information is sent between servers, so blocking browser cookies alone may not stop all sharing. This processing remains subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements. See the privacy choices below and Meta's Privacy Policy for information about Meta's handling of data.
Cookies, storage and tracking
The storefront uses browser storage to remember choices such as your country, currency and cart. Shopify also uses cookies and similar technologies to provide checkout, security, account features and other store services. Clearing or blocking storage can remove saved choices or affect how the store works.
Our Shopify configuration requires consent for non-essential tracking in the UK and EEA. Where the cookie banner or preferences control is shown, use it to accept or decline the purposes offered. Browser settings can also restrict cookies, although they do not replace the store's privacy choices or necessarily stop server-side sharing.
You can use our data-sharing opt-out page to exercise the options available for your location. Certain advertising disclosures can be considered a sale or sharing of personal information, or targeted advertising, under applicable privacy laws, even when no money is paid for the information. Shopify applies Global Privacy Control opt-out signals in regions configured for data-sharing opt-outs. A choice made in one browser or device may need to be repeated in another.

International processing
Information is shared with the providers described above, which may process it outside the country where you live. Shopify operates internationally, including when providing services that draw on interactions with other merchants and Shopify. Shopify, Meta and Google describe their international processing and transfer arrangements in their privacy documentation. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, those requirements apply to that transfer.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Relevant factors include supplying and supporting your purchases, maintaining order and tax records where required, investigating fraud, handling complaints and resolving disputes. A deletion request may not remove records we are legally required to retain.
We use access controls and the security features provided by our services to protect information. No website or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security. Please keep account sign-in details and paid download links private.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may be able to access or correct your information, request deletion or a portable copy, object to or restrict certain uses, withdraw consent, or opt out of targeted advertising or certain sharing. These rights can be subject to exceptions.
Contact airliefreedom@gmail.com with your request or privacy concern. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity. We will investigate, respond within applicable legal time limits and explain any action we take or why we cannot fulfil a request.
You may also contact the relevant privacy regulator. Where applicable, this includes the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, the UK Information Commissioner's Office, or your local data-protection authority.
Children and changes to this notice
The store is intended for people able to make purchases themselves or with appropriate adult permission. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information inappropriately, contact us so we can investigate.
We may update this notice as the store or our practices change. We will show the updated date above and give any additional notice required by law.
